In a major advancement for the Indian judiciary’s digital infrastructure, all 713 District Courts across the country have successfully migrated their websites to the NIC’s S3WaaS (Secure, Scalable, and Sugamya Website as a Service) framework. This move aligns with the Government of India’s guidelines for enhancing the accessibility and user-friendliness of government websites. S3WaaS, a cloud-based service specially designed for government enti-ties, stands at the forefront of this digital transformation. It focuses on cre-ating websites that are secure, scalable, and ‘Sugamya’ – meaning accessi-ble in Hindi. This innovative platform offers a range of customizable themes, enabling government bodies to tailor their online presence according to their specific needs and objectives. This transition marks a significant leap in ensuring that information and services from the district courts are readily accessible to the public. The new websites, underpinned by the S3WaaS framework, are expected to offer improved navigation, enhanced security features, and a user-friendly in-terface, thereby facilitating better interaction between the courts and the citizens.
