Dr. Saurabh Gupta, Technical Director and State Informatics Officer, NIC Bihar was recently awarded with the honour as “Info Man of the Year 2002” at a National Seminar on “IT Education in Bihar” jointly organised at Patna by Info Campus, Patna and Delhi School of Professional Studies, New Delhi. The Seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Abhimanyu Singh, the Vice Chancellor of Magadh University. Dr. Singh said that IT had revolutionized the world today and there is need to initiate mass movement to bring this technology close to the youth of the state. A technical paper entitled “ IT Education in Bihar : Problems and Prospects” was jointly presented by Dr. Saurabh Gupta and Shri NK Prasad from NIC Bihar State Unit on the occasion.
