The Government of Assam, in a new initiative to bring governance closer to the masses and make it more citizen oriented has developed and launched websites for all districts of Assam. NIC Assam State Unit and the respective District Units have been responsible for the design and development of these sites which have also been hosted on the NIC web server. All these websites contain in-depth information about the respective district including its profile, administration, tourism, industry, block-level information etc. The websites were formally inaugurated on Independence Day by Sh. Tarun Gogoi , Hon’ble Chief Minister, Assam , in Guwahati and by several Ministers in the respective District Headquarters.
