Web Ratna Awards recognizes the exemplary and sustainable e-Governance initiatives in the realm of World Wide Web. Instituted in the year 2009, Web Ratna Awards have come a long way in accelerating the cause of e-Governance at all levels of Government, providing necessary impetus in spreading innovative eGov Apps in the web space, urging others to emulate the best practices in ICT. Web Ratna Awards 2014 were conferred recently by the Hon’ble Minister of Communications & IT- Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad in a ceremony on 25/03/2015. In our E-Gov Products & Services section, we bring out some of the significant ICT initiatives implemented across the country. e-Nijukti, KhoyaPaya, Goa Excise Management Systems (GEMS), Unified Birth and Death Registration System in Andhra Pradesh, etc. are highlights of this section.
