Chennai: NIC has developed a Software Package for the Health Department of the State Government. The Package facilitates entry of monthly data on expenditure statements; etc. The data is entered at all NIC District Centres of the State and transmitted to Chennai over NICNET. The data is consolidated at the State Centre for the purpose of monthly Accounts Reconciliation and determination of Annual Budget Estimates. The Package is being successfully used by the Directorate of Public Health & Preventive Medicine and the Directorate of Medical & Rural Health Services, Tamil Nadu.
