Taking lead in implementation of AGMARKNET in the country, Punjab Mandi Board, the nodal agency for the implementation of the said project in Punjab, constituted a Core Team, first of its kind in India. This team will not only provide the technical support to the various Market Committees under their jurisdiction but also educate the officials about the usage of the software. At the meeting, Sh. A. Venuprasad, Secretary, Punjab Mandi Board briefed the team about their role and responsibilities in the field with respect to IT projects. He also appreciated the efforts of NIC, particularly NIC Punjab for timely support. SIO Punjab Sh. Sunil Kumar also addressed the core team and assured technical support from NIC.
