The smart card version of VAHAN and SARATHI was inaugurated on 7th October’ 2005 by Sh. R K Thanga, Commissioner, Transport at District Transport Office, Champhai. For the computerization of VAHAN and SARATHI, a seperate IT Cell has been set up at the Directorate of Transport, which is headed by an Assistant Project Manager. On this occasion, officials of the Transport department and various other departments were present including the Deputy Commissioner, Champhai.
