In a bid to provide the public with extensive information resources on the Maltese Judicial System, the Judiciary, the Judges and Magistrates and the courts they sit in, the Maltese Judiciary decided to go online, by launching their website, http://www.judiciarymalta.gov.mt. This judiciary portal is intended to deliver some functional information about the judiciary and to provide a glimpse into the work culture of the 38 members of the judiciary in Malta which includes 20 Judges and 18 Magistrates. The portal also provides a latest news section and an insight on the history of the Judiciary and important judgments. Apart from providing easily accessible online information to all its citizens on various functions of Maltese judiciary system, the portal also highlights on court structure, administration and supplementary staffs. Other information e.g. list of Judicial Assistants and Jurors in Malta, Interview of Judges, links to various websites related to Maltase and European Union judiciary, and full text of the judgments made by the judiciary of Malta are another features of the website. Among other sections, the 'Frequently Asked Questions' (FAQ) function on the judiciary website is of significant importance as it helps people in understanding the courts, their role, history and people.
