Dear Editor, The article “Gujarat Earthquake Crisis-NIC lends a helping hand”, in the “Limelight” section, has not only shown the Humane face of NIC, but also proved that the NIC officials contribute that EXTRA effort during any calamity, be it the Gujarat or Latoor quake or Cyclone in Orissa. The District Informatics Centres of NIC are also a major strength and they always put in their best during the hour of crisis. Dear Editor, The Informatics Newsletter gives NICians & its users a useful insight into the projects & activities happening in other parts of the NIC units. Information on MIS for Revenue Department, Kerala of April-2001 issue helped us in contacting them for sharing the product. It will save lots of efforts & time and lead to high productivity. Limelight section on Gujarat Earthquake Crisis inspired us how NIC can support technically during any type of National Crisis/Emergencies. I suggest to include a Techno-Hive section providing us practical knowledge on technology and Techno-Laugh section giving technical jokes. Sunil Kumar NIC Haryana State Unit
