The NIC Madhya Pradesh State Unit, Bhopal has successfully designed and developed an appropriate Departmental Monitoring System for the office of the Chief Secretary. The Computer-based System provides the departments with instantaneous information on the status of action taken on various important letters/references sent by the Governor, Chief Minister and Chief Secretary and certain high priority programmes and schemes; compliance of the Cabinet decisions and announcements made by the Chief minister. The System consists of two modules. The first module facilitates instantaneous retrieval of the desired information while the second allows data updation by the authorized User. The System has in-built flexibility to facilitate information retrieval pertaining to any department while the data updation by a department is restricted to its own programmes/scheme and letters, references pertaining to it. Necessary training was imparted to the concerned officials.
