Chandigarh: A training programme was formally launched by the Managing Director of the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Mr MD Asthana, IAS, for FCI officials from Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh at the NIC Punjab State Unit, Chandigarh on January 8, 1996.
The senior Regional Managers of Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh were also present in the inaugural function. Welcoming the Managing Director, Senior Regional Managers and other participants, the State Informatics officer, NIC, Punjab gave a briefing on the role of NIC in Informatics in the Country in general and in the Region in particular.
