Haryana: NICNET, along with the Electronic Mail Monitoring System (EMMS) developed by NIC Haryana State Unit, played a crucial role during the December Jail Bharo agitation by the Haryana State Government Employees. NICNET nodes at all the districts and the State Centre were operational from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the agitation days, enabling important missives and messages to be transmitted and received without any hitch. NICNET had already been declared as the emergency communication system for the State Government.
EMMS was developed for monitoring mails between the Principal Secretary (PS) to the Chief Minister and the Deputy Commissioners.
