As a step towards e-governance, Home Department, Govt. of Orissa has taken the ideal step to install P-4 systems at 16 important sections with Networked printers to promote IT culture in the department. On its inauguration, one week training programme with vigorous hands-on sessions was organized by NIC State Unit. Shri Santosh Kumar, I.A.S, Principal Secretary to Govt., Home department, addressing the participants said that all other sections are going to have computers very soon and more training programmes will be organized in active coordination with NIC Secretariat Centre. The R-F Connectivity with Fiber Optics backbone to the department will cater towards e-mail services and in handling inter-departmental transactions.
