The Collectorate of Palakkad is set to become the country’s first totally computerized collectorate under the Modernising Government Programme (MGP) with the recent launch of the efforts. The project is being implemented by the NIC Kerala State Unit along with the District Centre. The District Collector, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushik launched the project named DC@Suite, envisaging an integrated set of applications covering all areas of work in the Collectorate. Work-flow based file management, revenue recovery and public grievance redressal would be the key areas of the project. The Collectorate would have a full-fledged data centre with web servers, database servers, mail servers, firewall etc and a training centre with the state-of-art facilities.
