NIC - Courts Informatics Division extended software support to the Traffic courts in Delhi and developed a system to computerize the challans issued by the Delhi Traffic police. This has greatly benefited all the Traffic courts in Delhi by minimizing the time duration of generation of various notices, issue of warrants and summons. Printing of receipts has also been made easy with the help of the software. Various registers like Institution Register, Register of Summary Trials and Register of Fine imposed, which are maintained in the respective courts, are now generated without any delay. Case details pertaining to any vehicle or person are found instantaneously with the help of detailed search facility. The Traffic courts’ servers are connected to the servers of the Delhi Traffic police for obtaining the data pertaining to the Challans issued by the Traffic police. Facilities are available to enter complaint details, findings & sentence and driving license details for all violators. Important orders like order requiring production of a person in court for answering the charge of offence and order to compel the appearance of an accused are also easily generated with the help of this system. This system developed by NIC has been highly appreciated by the Traffic courts of Delhi.
