Sh. P.K. Mishra, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh launched 33 websites of different departments of the State Government on 1st September 2007. Dr. B.K. Gairola, DG, NIC was the Guest-of-Honour at the event that was attended by Anees Ansari, APC, Sh. Atul Kumar Gupta, IDC, Sh. V.N. Garg, Principal Secretary, Department of IT & Electronics, Principal Secretaries & HoDs of various other departments of the State Government. With the launch of these 33 websites, all 86 departments of the State Government are now available on Internet. Most of these websites have been developed by NIC, while the entire hosting is done on NIC servers. During the function, Sh. S.B. Singh, STD & SIO, NIC-UP gave a presentation on the eGovernance scenario in the State. The websites of UP Government's departments can be accessed from the State Government Portal http://upgov.nic.in/
