Publications Division of Govt of India is engaged in dissemination of information about the nation on various spheres of activity and publishes and sells books / journals at affordable prices. Now, these books, journals, CDs and other important literature may be purchased through Internet anywhere any time in the world.
A dynamic web enabled system, fully in Hindi and English, has been developed by the NIC Cell at Press Information Bureau for the Publications Division. Highlighting features of the system include: Provides current Job status in Hindi version of Rozgar Samachar on the website. Enable Hindi book catalogue to choose books according to user’s interest. Anyone can subscribe to mailing list of the Division to receive new arrival (Nayai Perkashan) on their e-mail ID. Announcement about book fair and any important news for net viewer in Hindi (Udhghoshana). Easy remote administration. Remote updating, deletion and modification of books, Journals and CD using form. All corresponding images with their content are migrated directly in the database using web forms. Only authorized users are allowed to update their content remotely with adequate security feature. Division has decided to accept online transaction through credit card or demand draft for selling books, journals and CDs using ICICI payment gateway.
