The website of Department of Agriculture, Punjab was formally launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal in a state-level function organized by Department of Agriculture on 9th July 2013 at Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh. Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Financial Commissioner, Development and other senior officers of Punjab Government were also present during the ceremony. The website has been designed, developed and hosted by NIC Punjab using open source technologies using PHP, CSS, Java script, J Query.
A detailed demonstration of the website was given to Hon’ble CM by Director Agriculture and team of officers from NIC Punjab comprising of Shri Ajay Malhotra, PSA and Ms. Parminder Kaur, SA. Chief Minister lauded the efforts of the department and NIC Punjab in this venture.
