As part of NIC’s strategic initiatives in e-Governance applications development, a five-day workshop was held at NIC Assam State Centre. The workshop, which was attended by officials of NIC and Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) of eight North East states, covered training on Object Technology, Unified Modeling Language (UML) and .NET technology. The main objective was to prepare a revised SRS for development of a web-based software for Rajiv Gandhi National Drinking Water Mission (RGNDWM). Faculty drawn from IBM-Rational, Microsoft, and NIC HQ trained the 28 participants at the Workshop. Shri D.C.Misra, SrTD, NIC HQ co-ordinated the programme personally and encouraged the participants with technical guidance.
