NIC services rendered the impossible possible by creating a centralized database of the service details of employees of the Board of Revenue. Kerala Releasing the list of officers suitable for departmental promotions, generated from the central database, the Minister for Revenue, Government of Kerala, Mr KM Mani, said that about 20,000 employees would be promoted based on the list provided by NIC.
Earlier, the Minister had announced on the floor of the State Assembly that this work was pending for 38 years and now has been completed successfully with the help of computer services.
The National Informatics Centre was approached by the Board of Revenue for the creation of the centralized database of the service details of employees, and to subsequently prepare computer lists of employees suitable for promotion. Processing of data was to be carried out for all cadres right from the village assistants, LDC level and upwards.
