JAMMU & KASHMIR, July: Lieutenant General MA Zaki, Advisor to the Governor, Jammu & Kashmir, visited the J&K State Unit of NIC on July 30, 1992 for an on-the-spot evaluation of the ongoing computerization effort in the Public Health & Engineering (PHE) Department, said a report from our J&K State Unit. The Advisor, who was accompanied by the Commissioner/Secretary, PWD, visited various sections of the State Unit, and was apprised of the projects involved in the computerization effort. A statistical and graphical analysis of the availability of drinking water in the rural areas of J&K was presented to the Advisor. The Advisor appreciated the work done by the Centre and hoped that other areas would also be within the ambit of computerization.
