A Refresher Course on CollabCAD software of NIC was recently conducted at CAD Lab of Basaveshwar Engineering College (BEC) at Bagalkot District in Karnataka. The course, attended by the various faculty members of the College was conducted jointly by Sh. K.S.Nagesh, Technical Director, CAD Group, NIC Headquarters and Dr. S.N.Kurbet, Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department of the college. NIC and BEC has signed an MoU for the promotion of CollabCAD in Educational Institutions and Small and Medium Scale Industries. The agenda of the CollabCAD Refresher Course was to design and develop a Standard Parts Library of different types of Gears like Spur Gear, Bevel Gear, Helical Gear using Jython Scripting.
