The Government of Rajasthan has embarked upon the modernization of the State Treasuries. In this regard it has sought the help of NIC Rajasthan State/District Unit(s). The Project started with an objective of computerizing the functioning and processing of the Treasuries in 1996. A strict time bound target was set to implement this Project in all the Districts of the State in a phased manner.
The Software developed provides for all reports prepared in the compilation section and captures the data for every voucher and challan. User-friendly querying facilities have been developed to retrieve the data on all items of input.
Daily transfer of bank-wise and branch-wise receipts and payments is collected on NICNET by the Finance Department, in order to monitor the day-to-day position of funds. This enables prediction of the financial position in the State. The computerization work is being done in close co-ordination of the NIC District Unit and District Treasury Office. The Software has been developed in Oracle on Unix platform.
The next phase of the Project will include Old Age/Welfare Pension System, Long Term Advances etc. NIC is also developing the Software for monitoring of future retirement cases at Treasury level in order to complement the Computerized System running at the Directorate of Pensions & Pension Welfare Department.
