Thiruvanthapuram: A DISNIC Workshop was recently organized at the National Informatics Centre, Kasargod District Unit, Thiruvanthapuram. The Workshop was inaugurated by the District Collector, Mr Satyajit Rajan, IAS. The District Collector in his inaugural address, stressed the need to have twenty four hours service through NICNET for the transmission of data, messages, classified mails and also the correspondence between the District Administration and the State Secretariat. He also suggested to have a computerized network based Public Grievances Redressal System in Kerala so as to minimize the delays as well as potential hardships faced by the general public. All this would enable speedy clearance of files and office procedures.
