New Delhi: The National Informatics Centre, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Rural Development and Department of Fertilizers, is organizing a national conference on Informatics for Sustainable Agricultural Development, in April 1995.
The National Conference will cover the areas of Agricultural research, Agrometeorology, Agriculture Produce Marketing, Agricultural Extension, Animal Husbandry, Appropriate Irrigation, Credit and Co-operation, Dairying, Environment and Forest, Fertilizers, Fisheries, Rural Development, Soil and Water Conservation, Watershed Development, Wasteland Development and other related areas. The Conference seeks to create awareness of the potential uses of informatics in agricultural development, to understand the informatics needs of users from these sectors; and to bring together various service producers essential for the development of the sector.
