The Shimla district official website was launched by Sh. Virbhadra Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh on 20th November, 2003 at Bachat Bhawan, Shimla. Dr. N. Vijayaditya, Director General, NIC was also present on this occasion. The website has been developed by the District Administration, Shimla and NIC District Centre, Shimla. The website provides information about the History, Culture, Tourism, Facts, Administration, EGovernance, Access, Citizen Services etc. An important section of the website is the Shimla-Heritage which provides links to selected photographs of Shimla dating back to 100 years. Besides, the photo gallery section gives photographs of important places in Shimla District.
