NIC Kohima District Centre has developed “Traffic Offence Monitoring System Software,” the first of its kind for the Traffic Personnel of Kohima District, Nagaland. The official launching was held at the SP's Office Kohima in the presence of media persons and Kohima traffic personnel's where Sh. Zekotso Mero, SP Kohima formally launched the software. During the presentation, Sh. J.G. Lorin, PSA & DIO, NIC Kohima said that the software is user friendly and reports for various formats required by the Department can be acquired. The software is developed in MS Access to be installed on a standalone system and the MIS records the offence committed by the vehicle will be stored. DIO requested the user Department to have secured backup systems. Sh. Mezayi Tetseo, Regional Transport Officer, Kohima appreciated the NIC Kohima for developing the software and quoted that the initiative help in the revenue earning of the Government. Sh. Zekotso Mero, SP Kohima thanked the DIO Kohima and his team for the substantial assistance to the traffic section which is the first of its kind in Nagaland. He highlighted the various problem of the traffic congestion due to its varied nature and said that the new software will go a long way in solving the traffic congestion partially in the town. Sh.
