Chandigarh : A Training on Ruralsoft 2000 for participants from 19 District Rural Development Agencies [DRDAs] and Directorate of Rural Development was recently conducted at Secretariat for Information Technology [SIT], Haryana. RuralSoft-2000, developed by National Informatics Centre, primarily aims at monitoring of poverty alleviation schemes being implemented through District Rural Development Agencies [DRDAs]. Speaking on the inaugural session, Sh S Parasad, Special Secretary and Director, Rural Development stressed on the application of IT in better monitoring of schemes so that poorest of the poor can be benefited effectively. Sh G S Bansal, State Informatics Officer stressed on the IT enabled applications for the rural people. Sh Sunil Kumar, Technical Director & Project Leader in Haryana, explained the technology and methodology of implementation at DRDA level.
