The website of High Court of Tripura (www.thc.nic.in) was launched by Hon’ble Judge, Supreme Court of India and In-Charge e-Committee, Justice Shri Madan B. Lokur on Saturday, the 10th of August 2013. The Case Information System (CIS) and its inbuilt SMS service, developed by NIC – HQ Courts Informatics Division, were also inaugurated.
The High Court’s website represents a rich amalgamation of static content and dynamic data related to Case Status, Cause List, Court Orders and Judgments. The CIS system is a process flow based system and has facilities for filing cases, registration, cause list preparation, recording court room proceedings, uploading judgments and orders. It also comes with an inbuilt facility for sending SMS to advocates and litigants when a case is filed, or if there is any fault in filing case, or if the case is present in next day’s cause list.
The occasion was graced by Shri Deepak Gupta, Hon’ble Chief Justice of Tripura. The other dignitaries present during the ceremony were Justice Shri U.B. Saha, Justice Shri S.C. Das, Justice Shri S. Talapatra, Chief Secretary, Tripura. Justice Shri Madan Lokur explained the e-Courts project implemented throughout the country and admired the achievements of Tripura in implementation of the project. He also appreciated the state in some pioneering efforts like carrying out of cases arguments through Videoconferencing technology. Hon’ble Chief Justice expressed his thanks to NIC-Tripura for active support in implementation of the services and requested NIC’s support in implementing the SMS service in all the courts of Tripura. Justice Shri S. Talapatra also explained the need for IT based services in judiciary and thanked NIC’s effort in implementation of IT based services.
