The Standardized District Portal of Sambalpur (http://sambalpur.nic.in/ or http://oddistricts.nic.in) was inaugurated by Shri Amarnath Pradhan, Hon’ble MP (Loksabha), Sambalpur on 5th August 2013 in a district level meeting organized by the District Administration at DRDA Conference Hall, Sambalpur. Speaking on the occasion, Hon`ble MP explained about the benefits of the new portal and role of ICT in day to day activities of the district administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector & DM, Shri Balwant Singh, IAS lauded the effort of the district administration in wider dissemination of information related to various developmental schemes for the benefit of common masses and in making the administration more people-centric. Dr. R.N. Behera, Senior Technical Director, NIC, Odisha State Centre, Bhubaneswar explained about National Portal of India and services provided by the single window system standardized District Portal of Sambalpur.
Additional District Magistrate, Shri Madhab Chandra Bariha, Senior Officers of District Administration, NIC Odisha State Centre and others were also present on the occasion. The portal has been designed and developed by NIC Odisha State Centre under the guidance of Data Centre and Web Services Division, NIC (HQ), New Delhi. The portal contains vital information related to the district, various Government Offices and line departments in the district along with various developmental schemes and services.
